I picked up this article over at MSNBC and read it couple of times over. I do love kids and when I visited the orphanage that I was adopted from in South Korea it was probably the most heart wrenching experience of my life. That being said I don’t think that I would ever want to have eight little ones running around.

 Jon & Kate have eight Korean/American babies and if my dating trend continues or my current girlfriend decides to stick it out for the long run then I think I’m seeing my future kids on TLC. I don’t really understand what’s going on between Jon & Kate but I do know that they’re getting divorced.

 I caught the end of the show last night as I came in the door from spending a weekend away from my native Baltimore to the sticks of Pittsburgh. My thoughts are that television is going to try and take every angle possible to make it as controversial as possible between the Jon and Kate, while probably playing one of them as “the badguy.” They film for x amount of days and only need one hour of footage. You’re not seeing reality you’re seeing a product designed to stimulate certain emotions.  

I feel bad for the children most of all as they didn’t sign up for the television deal. Maybe the added pressure of playing to the camera caused the divorce and alleged infidelity between Jon & Kate. End of the story is that you need to analyze and make your own conclusions on what is presented to you.
